In 2008 Appraisal Scope was launched by a team of industry professionals focused on designing the best appraisal management solutions. The company envisioned a software that is ultimately a single destination for AMCs and Lenders, no matter how complex their needs. Today, Appraisal Scope is responsible for managing successful transactions in both the residential and commercial sectors. As each new client adopted the software and the company experienced growth, the team remained devoted to ensuring responsive functionality, proper integration, customer support and the utilization of the latest security technology. The company is committed to continuing its research and development to remain an industry leader.
Our executive team has tremendous valuable experience across the appraisal, lending, and real estate industries. Each member of the team is committed to contributing to Appraisal Scope, in effort to maintain its leading position in the market. Jordan Rothstein serves as President and Lead Product Developer of Appraisal Scope. His knowledge of the valuation industry was shaped early on by his exposure at his family owned mortgage company, funding private residential loans. These experiences were balanced with his passion for business and software, which led him to become a certified real estate appraiser and technology innovator. Witnessing the rapid changes in the industry and new compliance guidelines, he recognized an opportunity for the order management software. The combination of his industry knowledge and passion for technology make him a perfect leader at Appraisal Scope, Inc. Jordan is based in Baltimore, MD.
Adam Calvery is the Product Manager at the company. He brings more than 14 years of mortgage and appraisal software experience to the company. As Product Manager, Adam is responsible for translating customer needs into product requirements. He works closely with developers to create intuitive solutions and is responsible for bringing exciting technologies to market.
Nick is truly passionate about technology and programming. This desire to be constantly engrossed in the industry and always expanding his knowledge base is what makes him thrive in his position at Appraisal Scope. He aims to push the limits of Appraisal Scope’s technology and always looks into the future. When he is not focused on technology he enjoys spending time with his family and talking with other automobile enthusiasts like himself.
Prior to joining Appraisal Scope as an Account Executive, Paul spent 15 years at a la mode software where he was an instructor and product manager for the dominant appraisal formfilling application on the market, TOTAL. His years spent meeting with appraisers and other industry players around the country has given him a deep understanding of the appraisal ordering and delivery process, and he is recognized by appraisers as a technology and workflow expert.
Lion Matthews serves as VP of Customer at Appraisal Scope. He earned a degree in economics from the University of Virginia. His years of experience in the realm of support structures and services allows him to manage the company’s support mechanism. Lion oversees the customer support team, client training, QA testing, and the overall customer experience. Lion is based in Taos, NM.
Jay Jones serves as Senior Level Support and Strategy. He is as an expert in lean workflow management, mortgage industry compliance and customer service. Jay brings a dynamic foundation, as a 15 year veteran of grass-root start-ups and understanding corporate environments, from which Appraisal Scope’s customer centric culture thrives into the future. Jay is responsible for a clientele’s comprehensive organizational structure. Prior to joining Appraisal Scope Jay served as a Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Springhouse, LLC.
Eric has spent more than 10 years in the Real Estate and Public Safety sectors. In that time, Eric has honed his skills in project management, system implementation, customer training and support, for individual customers all the way up to organizations with hundreds of users. At Appraisal Scope Eric utilizes his skills to onboard new clients, provide training, and post go-live support for the Appraisal Scope platform.
Logan Etherton is the lead frontend software developer at Appraisal Scope. He wrote his first program at the age of seven and has never lost his love for well written code. He is responsible for making sure that the software that powers Appraisal Scope is written to the highest level of quality. In addition to development, Logan is a part of the technical support team that ensures that the Appraisal Scope platform meets all of the needs of Appraisal Scope’s clients.
Mat has over a decade of experience in real estate based technology. His expertise is in Quality Control (QC) and in assisting the organization’s product management team to convert customers’ needs into actionable development projects. This experience in QC, support, and product management brings a wide array of skills to the team at Appraisal Scope.
Scott has supported real estate technology platforms since 2006. In that time, Scott has held a variety of essential roles at Appraisal Scope. Scott has built internal training programs that improve staff effectiveness, has managed customer-facing knowledge bases, led support teams, and supported thousands of appraisers directly. Scott is a key player in the frontline support experience at Appraisal Scope.
Shawn Barmore is Senior Vice President of Sales at the Appraisal Scope. He brings more than 16 years of mortgage industry sales and business development experience to Appraisal Scope. Shawn is responsible for broadening the company’s reach throughout the U.S. This was a natural fit for him in light of his experience and numerous relationships within the lending industry. Shawn works on the National Accounts Team with his business partner David Vitale. He is based in Buffalo, New York.
David Vitale is Senior Vice President of Sales at Appraisal Scope. He has over 18 years in banking, finance, mortgage and software experience. Leveraging relationships and building new ones, David is responsible for national accounts and new logos becoming Appraisal Scope software clients. David is business partners with Shawn Barmore on the National Accounts Team and is based in San Diego, CA.

The software platform condenses all valuable industry features into one solution, dramatically increasing efficiency.
